Programme 2020:

 

The season will start with the traditional Marian Pilgrimage event, on the last Saturday in May – 30/05/2020 from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.

Summer opening hours: July – August, Tuesday to Sunday 10.00 am – 5.00 pm.

On certain days, the complex may be closed due to a wedding; the dates will be updated.

 

 

The entrance fee includes a guided tour of the interior, and entry to the garden which has a relaxation zone by the lake. The tour of the chateau interior and the chapel lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Guided tours start at the following times: 10.10 am, 11.20 am, 12.30 pm, 1.40 pm, 2.50 pm, 4.00 pm.

There is free parking for visitors in front of the complex..

Refreshments

During both thematic events and normal opening hours, an outdoor grill bistro with a seating area is open for visitors to the Mitrowicz complex, offering a wide selection of food (grilled pork neck with garlic and onion, chicken breast in lemon and herbs, grilled smoked sheep milk cheese, grilled honest sausage, grilled vegetables, coleslaw, tzatziki, beer from the local Obora brewery, Mitrowicz lemonade, Kofola on tap, excellent coffee from the La Boheme café, various flavours of ice cream and the irresistible home-made “sakrajda“ (gingerbread strudel with plum butter and nuts)).

Quay

The chateau is located on the shore of the Lužnice river, near its confluence with the river Vltava. Within the Vltavotýnsko region, the stop at the chateau is part of a cruise from Týn nad Vltavou, from which the Pálava boat sails several times a day from May onwards.
